New York, May 12, 2022 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Reportlinker.com announces the release of the report "Global Automated Truck Loading Systems (ATLS) Industry" - https://www.reportlinker.com/p06276004/?utm_source=GNW - Online interactive peer-to-peer collaborative bespoke updates - Access to our digital archives and MarketGlass Research Platform - Complimentary updates for one year - Global Automated Truck Loading Systems (ATLS) Market to Reach US$2.9 Billion by the Year 2026 - Automatic Truck Loading Systems (ATLS) are commonly used by the global industry for materials handling and generally refers to automated trailer and truck loading or unloading either without or on pallets, racks, slip sheets, and containers, by using different automated guided vehicles (AGV) or conveyor belts which are integrated with vehicles to automate receiving, logistics, and shipping operations. Such conveyor systems are also known as roller beds, T-bars, slip chains, roller tracks trailer skates, belt floors, slat floors, skate & tracks, cable floors, chain floors and powered cargo rollers and are used for handling bulk products like agricultural produce, garbage, cotton, recycled tires, sawdust, and bark. The manufacturing sector comprising foods & beverages, automotive, consumer products, paper, and appliances manufacturers mostly using ATLS systems to handle incoming materials as also outgoing products to enhance throughput and for streamlining production. Furthermore, the global transportation industry is also heavily reliant on ATLS systems for rapidly moving products through land, air, and sea. Market fortunes of the Material Handling equipment industry are largely pegged to the general health of the economy and production levels in industries such as motor vehicles, chemicals, food and beverage, and other non-durables. The rising need for logistics companies to automate operations, and foster flow of goods in an efficient manner is the key force driving the market, at present. Increasing demands in supply chain are leading companies to evolve and optimize their warehouse logistics and supply chain. Globalization and the associated supply chain fragmentation of various industries, along with the trend of outsourcing have had a significant bearing on the growth of the market. Increase in application areas is another factor boding well for the market. - Other factors expected to drive growth include capacity expansions and growing fragmentation of the logistic chains. Demand for automated guided vehicles (AGVs), automated retrieval systems (ARS) along with sortation systems, palletization systems, and conveyor systems, among others is projected to grow stronger in the near term. Growth of automated material handling systems is also favored by advancements in wireless technology, specifically with respect to automated guided vehicles (AGVs). Technology advancements in the field of electronics are also having a favorable impact on the market for automated material handling systems. At present, majority of the old systems in production facilities are being automated through the addition of new electronics components and software, which eliminate the need for manual workers in storing, handling and controlling materials during production, disposal, distribution, and consumption operations. Efforts in the material handling industry are focused on developing new technologies, equipment and systems, which assist in providing visibility throughout the entire supply chain. Such enhanced visibility is critical for customers to gain insights into the impact of their investments into various material handling technologies on overall business operations. In the long run, advanced technologies such as driverless vehicles, robotics, autonomous control and wearable computing are expected to drive the evolution of automated material handling systems. - Amid the COVID-19 crisis, the global market for Automated Truck Loading Systems (ATLS) estimated at US$2.1 Billion in the year 2022, is projected to reach a revised size of US$2.9 Billion by 2026, growing at a CAGR of 7% over the analysis period. Slat Conveyor Systems, one of the segments analyzed in the report, is projected to grow at a 7.1% CAGR to reach US$899.1 Million by the end of the analysis period. Tesla won't set up a manufacturing plant in India until it is first allowed to sell and service cars in the South Asian nation, the carmaker's chief executive Elon Musk said Friday, more than a year after an Indian state said that the electric carmaker was planning to open a plant in the southern part of the country. Responding to an individual on Twitter, who had asked for an update on Tesla's manufacturing plant in India, Musk responded, "Tesla will not put a manufacturing plant in any location where we are not allowed first to sell & service cars."

Billions of dollars have been poured into companies seeking early detection of cancer through common blood draws.

The world has changed so much since 1985 but the price of Costco Wholesale's hot dog-and-soda special -- $1.50 -- has remained constant.

Shares of Peabody Energy (NYSE: BTU) were dropping 4% on the day as of 9:50 a.m. ET Friday. You can thank commodity prices (and it's not just coal that I'm referring to here). Newcastle coal prices, which are also the benchmark for the Asian market, rocketed this week to above $400 per metric ton and are barely $20 away from record highs as of this writing, according to data from TradingEconomics.com.

Curbs would be controversial, since exports have been helping Europe reduce it's dependence on Russian oil. How U.S. refiners could be hurt.

NEW YORK (Reuters) -Major U.S. retailers that recently scrambled to restock shelves amid product shortages disclosed this week that their stores are now packed with too much merchandise, and some are even doing what was unthinkable just a few months ago: discounting unsold goods. With shoppers' tastes quickly shifting, many retailers now find themselves with a surplus of merchandise, driving up costs. Costco Wholesale Corp said its inventories ballooned 26% in its fiscal third quarter ended May 8 that included a "few hundred million dollars" of extra holiday merchandise and being a "little heavy" on small appliances and household items.

When Warren Buffett, the CEO of conglomerate Berkshire Hathaway (NYSE: BRK.A)(NYSE: BRK.B), buys or sells a stock, Wall Street and investors tend to pay close attention. Since taking the reins, Buffett has created close to $670 billion in value for his shareholders (which includes himself), and he's led his company's Class A shares (BRK.A) to an almost unfathomable 20.1% average annual return. To put this performance in another context, the benchmark S&P 500 has "only" gained 30,209%, including dividends paid, since Buffett took over Berkshire Hathaway.

Russia is advancing a new law allowing it to take control of the local businesses of western companies that decide to leave in the wake of Moscow’s invasion of Ukraine, raising the stakes for multinationals trying to exit. The law, which could be in place within weeks, will give Russia sweeping powers to intervene where there is a threat to local jobs or industry, making it more difficult for western companies to disentangle themselves quickly unless they are prepared to take a big financial hit. The law to seize the property of foreign investors follows an exodus of western companies, such as Starbucks, McDonald's and brewer AB InBev, and increases pressure on those still there.

The moves come as growth in customer spending has stagnated in recent quarters after a big run-up in 2020 and 2021.

An Israeli private investigator currently in U.S. custody used Indian hackers to conduct surveillance operations for ultra-wealthy Russians, a reporter said in a court filing late Wednesday. Independent journalist Scott Stedman told a court in New York that jailed private detective Aviram Azari worked "on surveillance and cyber-intelligence operations at the behest of Russian oligarchs," citing a mix of public reporting and confidential sources. Stedman said in a declaration that one of the Russian oligarchs concerned was aluminum tycoon Oleg Deripaska, whom he said indirectly employed Azari in connection with a business dispute in Austria.

The U.S. baby formula crisis has boosted profits at Britain's Reckitt Benckiser and helped it grab the top spot in a $5.8 billion-a-year market. Reckitt has ramped up production of its Enfamil formula since U.S. rival Abbott Laboratories in February recalled dozens of products in the United States after customers complained of infants contracting bacterial infections. The British consumer goods company, which boosted formula production by 30%, told Reuters last week it now accounted for more than 50% of total baby formula supply in United States, up from around a third before the crisis.
